SYSTATIK

Systatik: The Digital Letter of Commendation

A systatikon is a letter of commendation (2 Corinthians 3:1) carried by the faithful between communities since the apostolic age. Systatik is its digital form: a priest issues a signed letter to someone he knows, and anyone can verify it, online or offline, now or decades from now.

1

Issue

A priest signs a letter for one of the faithful in about thirty seconds, from his phone.

2

Present

The person keeps a link and a QR code, a photo on their phone, no account, no app.

3

Verify

Anyone scans it: genuine, revoked, or expired, with the full chain, and offline if they wish.

Always reflects today's standing

A systatikon attests where things stand today, not just the day it was signed. If someone moves, is received into another parish, or is no longer in good standing, the priest revokes the letter or lets it expire, and verification shows it.
